Balart (1931) is a Cuban painter and sculptor. He studied art in the Museum of Modern Art in New York (1959-1962) where his work is now part of their permanent collection. Balart’s work is also in collections belonging to the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Spain, the Mondriaan House in the Netherlands, and the Museum of Modern Art in Germany, among others.
