Stanley Jones (1933) studied at the Slade School of Fine Art in London, moving then to Paris where he worked with artists such as Giacometti, Le Moal, Sugali, Severini and Soulages. In 1958, Stanley returned to London to help establish the Curwen Studio intended for artists to explore their practice in printmaking. He has helped guide sculptors, such as Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth, into graphic image making. His work is in private and public collections throughout the world. This particular print is held in the Tate collection.
