Reginald Cotterell Butler (1913 –1981) was an English sculptor. Butler studied and lectured at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London from 1937 to 1939. In 1948 he was briefly an assistant to Henry Moore and later that year began to make his own sculpture. After winning the 'Unknown Political Prisoner' competition in 1953 he became one of the best known sculptors of the 1950s and 1960s. Many of his works are held by the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Tate Gallery, London.
