Lucy Yukenbarri Napanangka (1934-2003) was a leading figure among the Balgo artists of Western Australia. She developed a new style of dotting named ‘kinti kinti’ (close, close). Her work is held in international collections including: National Gallery of Australia, Kluge Ruhe Collection, USA, among many others. This print depicts the landscape known as Punyanita in Balgo, featuring the soakwater, or tjurrnu, Tali, or sand dunes, and the foods: purra (bush tomato), tjunta (bush onion) and karnti (bush potato) that often grow there through dots.
